The Wolverhampton Sporting Hall of Fame recognises outstanding athletes who have brought pride to the city through their dedication and achievements.
- Sports people of amateur or professional status can be nominated for an award through their local Club or Wolverhampton City Sports Advisory Council.
- The nominee should be or have been born, lived, educated in Wolverhampton or a member of a Club based in Wolverhampton during their sporting success.
- The nominee shall have retired from the competitive sport in which they achieved their success.
- The minimum achievement to be considered for inclusion in the Sporting Hall of Fame be:
As an individual, a medal winner of either a World, Olympic, Empire, Commonwealth or European Championship.
- i i As a team player, a minimum of 50 international caps at senior level.
- i i i Other meritorious exceptions may be considered.
That at all times, the name of Wolverhampton shall be associated with their achievements
